Join Our Founder’s Club!

 

MIX Nashville has always been powered by the passion of our community—but now we need your help to keep it growing. Until now, a small handful of generous members have quietly covered the ongoing costs of things you love—our website, Discord, podcasts, and more. These may seem like small expenses, but month after month, they add up, and it’s no longer sustainable for just a few people to carry the weight.

 

That’s why we’re asking: please consider making a one-time or recurring donation. Your support ensures MIX can continue to provide and expand the educational programs and community events that bring us all together.

 

From the beginning, MIX has been built on the belief that community should never come with a price tag. Aside from the occasional ticketed event, we’ve never asked for contributions since our very first picnic in 2023. Our commitment remains the same: MIX will always be inclusive and accessible to people of all income levels.

 

To honor that principle while covering the real costs of running our programs, the Board of Directors pursued formal nonprofit status. As of April 11, 2025, MIX Nashville is officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 99-3963376) and is registered with the Tennessee Secretary of State. In short: we’re legal, legit, and ready to make real progress for the non-monogamy community.

 

As you may have noticed, our events keep growing—and that’s a great thing! But it also means that some of our usual venues can no longer accommodate us. To make sure everyone has space to connect, learn, and enjoy themselves, we now need to secure larger venues, which often require rental fees or food and drink minimums. This will be one of the biggest and most important ways your donations directly improve the community experience.

 

Of course, building community comes with ongoing costs. Here’s where your donations go:

 

Current annual expenses

  • 🎙️ Podcast hosting: $420
  • 🌐 Website tools (event management, newsletters, etc.): $256
    🖨️ Printing: $100/year + one-time costs of $250
  • 🏳️‍🌈 Marching at Nashville Pride: $150
    🏠 Meeting space rentals for educational events: $250
  • 📝 State & Federal compliance filings: $20/year + one-time costs of $250

Future growth in 2026

  • $750/year – Informational booth at Nashville Pride
  • Up to $3,000 – Larger, exclusive spaces for events like SourMIX & MellowMIX
  • Up to $1,000 – Podcast/video equipment to expand to YouTube and other platforms
  • Up to $1,000 – A cushion for unexpected expenses

You may notice these expenses exceed our $5,000 goal. While our immediate needs are smaller, we’re putting faith in our community to help us grow—so we can offer more education and even better events in the year ahead.

 

✨ As a thank-you, the first seventy-five individuals who donate $50+ one-time or $5+/month recurring will receive a limited-edition Founder’s Club sticker—a symbol of your commitment to helping MIX thrive. Recurring donations are especially meaningful, giving us steady support to plan and sustain programming throughout the year. (also, this photo doesn’t do the sticker justice…did we mention it sparkles?!)

 

You can also double your impact through employer matching. Many companies will match donations made to registered nonprofits like MIX Nashville. If you think your employer offers this benefit, please check their guidelines before donating—some require you to give through their platform to qualify for the match. (Ask us how we know this. We’re also still happy to give you a Founder’s Club sticker for gifts made this way – email us at admin@mixnash.co to let us know about your gift!)
