We're heading out to Arrington Vineyards for Jazz on the Hillside. Come enjoy some live music, beautiful scenery and a lovely time with lovely people. We'll try to grab a picnic table but bring a blanket or camp chairs just in case. Look for the light up Pink Spoon sign or people wearing pink lanyards.

Mix-Education is pleased to begin our Peer Support Group this month! We are kicking off a "Session - Zero" style meetup. Peer Support is a group that allows and fosters community conversations about experiencing Consensual Non - Monogamy (CNM) within the Nashville area. What is a "Session Zero", you might ask? Well, if you are new to the practice of Table Top Role Playing Games (TTRPGs), you may be delighted to learn that this is simply a meeting held before the official activities begin. Its primary goal is to get everyone on the same page regarding rules, expectations, and boundaries. Additionally, this will help us elicit interest in topics for our future group sessions. Understanding the Format: This Support Group is facilitated, but peer-led. Facilitation is per topic-at-hand. The facilitator is there to assist, keep the group on topic/within the rules, and to engage the community. As we are not a therapy group, nor are we claiming any licensure in mental health services, this helps us keep the space safe for everyone. The focus of this group is designed for community driven needs, mutual support, and will be resource - redirected. This Support Group aligns with the specific needs of the Middle Tennessee MIX Community. Start your Halloween with a walk through the woods. We'll meet at the Creekside Trailhead at Beaman Park and hike the Henry Hollow Loop. Come enjoy the falling leaves, the fresh air, and the company of other wonderful ENM folks. This is a 2-mile loop of moderate difficulty.

Session 3: When It Breaks — Conflict, De-escalation, and Repair In a tight-knit community, avoiding someone you're in conflict with isn't really an option — you'll see them again, at the next event, in the group chat, at a mutual friend's gathering. This session is about handling that reality directly. We start by creating a small conflict on purpose, then practice repairing it — both the boundary you knowingly crossed and the one you didn't realize you'd crossed until later. From there, you'll practice recognizing what specifically escalates conflict in this community, regulation techniques you can actually use (not just hear described), structured hard conversations, and live scenarios you can pause and take over until the group finds an approach that works. We close on a distinction that shapes everything else: conflict, harm, and abuse are different problems, and they need different responses. A pause option is available throughout — anyone can use it at any time, no explanation required. This course is part of a 3-part series on Consent, Power, and Repair. As with the other sessions, you don't need to attend the others to get value from this one.

🌄TrailMIX - Fort Negley

For November's Trail Mix, we're going to do a little historic exploration at Fort Negley. This is a very accessible, fully paved, trail. We'll walk to the top and take in the view of the city for a little while before heading back down. The hike itself, is just about one mile. If there is interest, we'll get some lunch afterwards.
